Position: Lead, Partnerships & Development (Full Time Permanent)
Reports to: Senior Manager, Partnership & Social Impact
Location: Hybrid (two days in the office per week). Primary location is the Lung Health Foundation’s office in Toronto, with occasional travel within Ontario and across Canada as required.
Salary Range: $62,000 to $68,000

POSITION OVERVIEW
Lead, Partnerships & Development will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing our Pharma, Corporate, Foundation and Mid-Level Donor support. As the Lead, Partnerships & Development you will play a key role in maximizing revenue generation and strengthening partner and mid-level donor engagement, inclusive of stewardship. You will work closely with the cross- functional team members to coordinate initiatives, create compelling partnership packages, assets and general fundraising materials; support a range of partners stewardship activities; and help LHF achieve its fundraising goals. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovative and strategic outcomes, develop effective Corporate, Social and Environmental (CSR) strategies, and enhance organizational support.
 
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Partnerships & Social Impact you will play an important role in achieving our fundraising goals by:

  • Supporting implementation of strategies for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of current and future pharma, corporate, foundation partners.
  • Leading the creation of a holistic program geared towards cultivation and stewardship of mid-level individual donors.
  • Supporting stewardship and planning for existing and prospective partners and mid-level donors to ensure annual deliverables and workplans align with fundraising goals of the organization, and partner/donor intent.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure we are properly stewarding our donors and maintaining strong relationships with all prospective supporters, capturing impact metrics and articulating them.
  • Assisting in grant applications and system uploading for Pharma, Corporate and Foundations.
  • Achieving and working to exceed individual fundraising targets. Contributing to overall organizational fundraising targets.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mid-donor program to support the transition of top 150-200 prospects from other fundraising programs to major gift prospects.
  • Engage with pharma, corporate and foundations to secure donations at the mid- level donors.
  • Steward existing supporters and manage prospect pipelines to increase revenues from likeminded organizations (developing solicitation materials, regular calls to prospective foundations and stewarding foundations that have made gifts)
  • Assist with the creation of asset to secure new and enhance existing partnerships and well as post-impact reports.
  • Regularly conduct solicitation phone calls, ongoing stewardship activities, and once trained, conduct cultivation visits working closely with Senior Manager, Partnerships & Social Impact to ensure opportunities are maximized.
  • Monitor and research the giving landscape for new fundraising or engagement opportunities and fundraising best practices to grow the community portfolio.
  • Update all activities and prospect information within the organizations CRM (Salesforce) system.
  • Support solicitation and executing of Pharma, Corporate and Foundation partners for online and in-person marquee events (For example: Better Breathing Week Conference, Policy Forums, Advocacy Days, Annual Golf Tournament, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned 
 
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of proven fundraising experience in a high relationship-based environment
  • University or College degree in Fundraising, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline
  • Non-profit experience in a health charity an asset
  • Some flexibility to travel throughout the region and to attend evening and weekend events
  • Knowledge and skill in relationship management with experience working with mid-level/major gift donors
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines with advanced organization skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor, and comfort with cold calling
  • Position demands the ability to positively interact internally as a team member, as well as externally with donors and leadership members
  • Ability to work within a tight timeline and prioritize in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office
  • Fluency in French is an asset
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM an asset

Compensation

$62,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
